The Balaton City Council at its latest meeting passed a resolution allowing the City to apply for grant dollars through the Taylor Family Farms Foundation through the Southwest Initiative Foundation (SWIF).
The latest round of grants available is focused on outdoor recreation projects that promote healthy lifestyles. The Borchert Challenge Endowment Fund was created to generate annual revenue for the purpose of improving and maintaining parks in Balaton.
