The Tracy City Council wrapped up business Monday in about 50 minutes, as this weeks’ agenda was a light one.
One of the main topics of discussion concerned replacing some playground equipment at Sebastian Park, to the west of the aquatic center parking lot.
The City will apply for grant dollars through the Taylor Family Farms Foundation. Tracy librarian and resident grant writer Val Quist reported that she will submit a grant this week.
“We’ve got some money budgeted to work on those slides that are in poor condition out there,” Quist said. “The thought is that if we can match our $20,000 with the grant, we could potentially move toward replacing one of the structures as whole instead of piece-medaling it together.”
The current equipment, while it doesn’t appear to be overly worn out, is 20 years old.
