Julianne Nelson Stachmus, age 73, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023, in Mesa, AZ. She was born and raised in Tracy.
In her youth, she was a cheerleader for Tracy High School and graduated from there in 1968. She was always a quiet gal, but she truly loved being an outgoing cheerleader.
After moving to Arizona, she was employed as a secretary for Marathon Steel, then later at the Salt River Project, the Valley’s electric utility. Julianne found her true talent and passion as an interior decorator and flower basket arranging. Her homes were always evidence of that.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alice Nelson, and her husband of 39 years, Roy Stachmus, who died on March 15, 2023. Survivors include son Jason Stobbe, granddaughters Midnyte and Jaden, and grandsons Zeke, Micah and Asher; sisters Linda (Art) Rogers and Brenda (Juergen) Ankert; and cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The love for her family can never be replaced and will always be remembered. In accordance to Julie’s wishes, no public services are planned. Internment will be at a later date at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Mesa, AZ.
