As part of a tidy 19-minute meeting Monday, the Tracy City Council gave the go-ahead for Tracy City Administrator Jeff Carpenter to survey a third lot for possible future housing on Front St. The land is to the west of the two lots that have already been committed for new slab-on-grade housing.
The council recently agreed to convey those two City-owned lots to the Tracy EDA for future development of two houses through a United Community Action Partnership program.
“Some of the paperwork has already been started to convey the land from the City to the EDA for the other two lots,” Carpenter said. “If we put two houses out there and somebody says, ‘Well, I want to build a house out there, too. There’s enough land to survey one more lot.”
The third lot, for now, would be left in the City’s name, Carpenter said.
