Paul Lloyd Guimond passed away on February 21, 2024, in Flagstaff, AZ, at his residence.
He was born August 17, 1965, in Golden Valley, MN to Margaret (Farr) and R. Dennis Guimond. He was baptized at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia Heights, MN. Made his First Communion in St. Catherines Catholic Church, Redwood Falls, MN.
He attended school in Redwood Falls and his senior year transferred to O’Gorman High School in Sioux Falls, SD, and graduated in 1984.
He loved fishing, hunting and sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins. In later years, he developed a love for four-wheeling, especially with his brothers.
Paul was a great uncle and always teased his nephews and nieces to their delight. His favorite was spending time with his lovely fianceé, Carolyn Von Kluck and were busy planning an October wedding this year.
Paul will be missed by his many friends and staff at Dirty Birdies Supper Club and Sports Bar and Northern Pines Supper Club where he was general manager at both business places. He always spoke highly of the ownership and management of both facilities and was treated as a member of one big family.
Paul is survived by his mother, Margaret (Eugene) Short; fianceé, Carolyn Von Kluck; brothers, Brian Guimond, Maple Lake, MN, and Brent (Angela Stadler) Guimond, Echo, MN; stepbrother, Jeffrey (Maria) Short, and Rota Spain; stepsisters, Jodi (Bradford Smith) Short, Duluth, MN, and Jeri Short, Independence, WI; nephews Joshua Guimond, and Jason (Robyn) Guimond, Montevideo; nieces, Jennifer Guimond, Redwood Falls, MN, Nicole Guimond, Tracy, and Stephanie Guimond, Redwood Falls; grandnieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, R. Dennis Guimond; grandparents, Leo and Elsie Guimond, Tracy, MN; and Lloyd and Rosetta Farr, Walnut Grove, MN; cousin, Darren Guimond; uncles Joe Guimond and Jim Guimond; and aunt, Ruth Carroll.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
