As husband and wife, Mike and Julie Benson are no strangers to sharing with one another. At Saturday’s Balaton Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet, the couple learned they have to share something more, something extra special.
The Bensons, dubbed a “dynamic duo” by Chamber President Brita Fricke, were honored as Balaton’s Co-Citizens of the Year at Chamber’s annual banquet.
“This couple has been an asset to this community for years, from owning a business and managing another — they’re nothing short of amazing,” Fricke said. “They have put in countless hours, serving the community during Fun Fest, Chamber banquets and Christmas parties, along with many other events in the area.”
