Kerry Cooper, a loving father, world traveler, and cherished friend to many, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A celebration of Kerry’s remarkable life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Tracy United Methodist Church, to honor his memory and the profound impact he made on all who knew him. Private burial will be in the Tracy City Cemetery. He was born on October 14, 1954, and spent his formative years on the family farm, affectionately known as The Cooper Farm, in Tracy, Minnesota. Kerry’s journey took him far beyond the fields of Tracy as he embarked to college, he briefly taught students internationally at the American International School in Vienna, Austria. Later, he ventured into the realm of sales, traversing the country with a winning smile and a heart full of warmth.

Along the way, Kerry forged enduring friendships, each one a testament to his genuine spirit and magnetic personality. In addition to his professional achievements, Kerry found profound joy in family life. He embraced the role of fatherhood with open arms, guiding and shaping the lives of his two sons while also extending his love and support to his stepdaughter and stepson. Beyond the hustle and bustle of daily life, Kerry found solace and fulfillment in the simple pleasures that brought him joy. Whether teeing off on the golf course, exploring distant lands, tending to the land he cherished, or simply basking in the company of loved ones, Kerry’s zest for life was infectious and enduring.

Kerry’s legacy lives on through the memories he created and the lives he enriched. He is survived by his loving sons, Todd and Drew Cooper, and his sister, Nancy Gausman. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Bruce, Allen, and Brett.
