Lorna G. Osborne, 88 years old, resided in Springfield, OR, and passed away in her home on August 20, 2024.
Lorna was born on December 25, 1935, to Emil and Lottie Gempeler in Tracy. After she graduated from high school in 1953, she went on to study education. Lorna was certified to teach grades 1-8 and taught general education for three years in a one-room country schoolhouse.
In 1955, Lorna married her high school sweetheart, Royce Osborne, where they made beautiful music together for 69 years. Lorna passed her love for music down to her four daughters, Gaylene, Jolene, Angela and Stephanie. While raising her family, she continued to teach music and piano lessons in their home. Lorna was creative and had an eye for design. She loved sewing and crafts and was always working on the next project.
Lorna became a grandmother to nine grandchildren and great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren. Her greatest pride and joy was her family and her church.
In heaven, she was reunited with her parents; brother, Gary; and daughter, Jolene.
It’s with the deepest sorrow that we need to temporarily say goodbye to the matriarch of our family until we meet again.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on October 5, 2024, at Ebbert United Methodist Church, located at 532 C St, Springfield, OR 97477.
