Lead-footers beware: Radar signs coming to Tracy

With growing concern about the speed in which motorists enter Tracy on Hwy. 14 from the east and west, the City is moving forward on the purchase of three solar-powered radar speed signs, to be permanently installed sometime in the near future. The signs come with a two-year warranty.

Tracy Police Chief Jason Lichty reported to the council that he can buy the three-pack of signs for a sale price of $9,000, plus $3,500 for shipping. The City would install the poles for the signs, which would be seen by motorists entering town from the east and west side of Tracy along the highway, with one facing east on Old No. 7
