
Norman Imme, 98, of Willmar, died Thursday, February 13th at Bethesda Grand in Willmar. His memorial service will be at 11:00 am, Friday, February 21st at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to his service at church. Burial will be at Clover Leaf Cemetery in Willmar. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar, www.hafh.org
Norman Robert Imme was born on June 8, 1926, to Paul and Clara (Stahn) Imme in Tracy, Minnesota. He grew up in the Tracy area where he graduated from Tracy High School in 1943. In 1944, Norman enlisted in the US Navy and served in the Pacific area. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
On June 2, 1951, Norman was united in marriage to Irene Rosenow of Alexandria. To this union two children were born: Bryan and Dianne. He worked for National Bushing in St. Cloud from 1952 to 1960, before working for the Minnesota Department of Transportation until his retirement in 1987. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and friend.
Norman was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Norman is survived by his children: Bryan (Norma Jean) Imme of Alexandria, Dianne (Richard) Hanson of Willmar; grandchildren: Robert (Amanda) Imme, Christopher Imme, Adam (Susanna Braun) Biel, Matthew Biel, Blake and Jennassa Hanson; great-grandchildren: Carson, Landon, Hadley and Adalynn; niece: Cathy Busho; and nephews: Allan Steffen and Scott Steffen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, parents; brother, Vincent Imme; and sister, Norine Steffen.
