Debra (Debbie) Ann Miller, 72, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on February 12, 2025. She was born on March 1, 1952 to Mahlon and Mona Plowman in Austin, MN.
In 1977, Debbie married Edsel Miller, and together they raised five children: Robert (spouse Katie), Kathryn, Laura (spouse Adam), Emily, and Levi. She was a loving grandmother to five grandchildren: Riley and Peyton Miller, Fredrick, Violet, and Forrest Fagan.
Debbie attended Wasson High School in Colorado Springs, CO and graduated in 1970. She furthered her education at St. Paul Bible College in Waconia, MN, graduating in 1975 with a degree in Christian Education and served as a pastor’s wife for over 30 years in Hawley, MN and then serving churches in Garvin and Tracy. Later, Debbie then worked at Tracy Elementary School in many capacities eventually becoming the librarian, a job she loved because of her love for reading and children.
Debbie and Edsel moved to Colorado Springs in June of 2018, but her heart always remained in Tracy.
Debbie loved spending time with family and friends. She was a kid at heart and found joy in everything around her. Debbie’s children and grandchildren were her pride and joy as was her marriage to Edsel. She radiated Jesus’s love and was always eager to share her faith. She will be remembered for her kindness and infectious laugh.
Debbie is preceded in death by her mother, Mona Plowman, sister, Cindy Raines (Plowman), and her mother-in-law, Esther Kleinlein.
There will be a memorial service for Debbie at Tracy Alliance Church on March 15. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a luncheon to follow.
