Patricia “Patty” Kathleen Mulcahy was born in Minneapolis at the Swedish Hospital on February 10, 1936 to James Thomas & Florence Marie (Cossette) Mulcahy. She attended Ascension Grade School where she completed grades 1-8. She attended Jordan Junior High for 2 years, and graduated from Minneapolis Vocational High School and Technical Institute of Learning in 1954.
After graduation, Patricia worked as a stenographer at the Twin City Army Ammunition Plant from 1954-1958. On June 30, 1958, she began employment at First Bank of Minneapolis. First Bank was later purchased by US Bank and she retired on December 31, 1990 after 33 years.
After retirement, she spent much of her time caring for her parents and assisting them to remain in their home in Brooklyn Center. She was a lifelong member of the National Secretary’s Association (which became the International Secretary’s Association) and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
Patricia was in her home in Brooklyn Center until 2009. She became a resident of Good Samaritan Ambassador Care Center in New Hope in 2011.
Patricia passed away on July 21, 2017 at the age of 81.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother, James; and nephew, Mark.
Survived by sister-in-law, Barbara (Reischl) Mulcahy; nephews, Patrick (Erica) Mulcahy and Christopher (Pat) Mulcahy & their families; second cousins, Dr. Richard Brown, Michael Mulcahy, Kathleen Silvers, Margaret Ebeltoft, C. Patrick Brown, Dennis Brown, and Dr. Kathleen Brown-Brockway; and other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2017, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 5155 Emerson Ave. N., Minneapolis, with visitation 1 hour prior to mass at church. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope.
