Funeral services for Carol Drever, 90, of Tracy, Mn, will be Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Tracy Lutheran Church in Tracy at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Private family interment will take place at the Tracy City Cemetery in Tracy.
Carol Jeanne (Connie) Drever was born October 14, 1927, in Tracy, to Walter W. and Pearle F. (Erickson) Gustafson. She was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel English Lutheran Church. She attended school in Tracy and graduated from Tracy High School in 1946. She peacefully passed away on January 8, 2018 at the Colonial Manor in Balaton.
After graduation she worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company until 1947, when she went to work for Bell Telephone in North Hollywood, CA. She returned to Tracy and Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1948.
She married Kenneth W. Drever, July 24, 1949. Ken and Connie owned and operated Ken’s Super Valu from 1968-1989. Connie was also a volunteer secretary for the Tracy Area Chamber of Commence from 1979-1986, and worked for KMHL Tracy Show for eight of those years. In 1989, she and Ken retired and spent their winters in Mesa, AZ until 2003.
Connie enjoyed working crossword puzzles, computers and card games, watching Minnesota Twins and Timberwolves, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth; son Scott and wife Cheri; daughter Vicki and husband Edward Scott; daughter Dana Bistrup; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Dorothy Pauling, and many nieces and nephews.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers James and Douglas; and her sister Sharon Day.
