Brent David Larson age 47 of Tracy, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota due to complications following a heart attack. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 28 at the Tracy United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday at the Tracy Area Funeral Home, and will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Friday. Brent was born April 21, 1972 to James and Vernice (Miller) Larson in Tracy. He was baptized and confirmed at Tracy United Methodist Church. Brent graduated from Tracy Area Public Schools. He was a hard worker and gave every task his all, no matter what he did. He was a very loyal person with a heart of gold. Brent always gave to others, not asking for anything in return. His ultimate gift was to be a donor, which he fulfilled after he passed away, in order to help many people in need. Brent was an incredibly proud uncle and loved his nephews very much. He was a member of the Tracy Eagles Club and enjoyed golfing, hunting, bowling, and working with Black Labs.
Brent is survived by his mother Vernice of Tracy; brother Dru (Nicole) Larson of Tracy; nephews Derek and Trevor Larson of Tracy; aunts Mary (Dan) Fowser of Long Lake and Jean (Stan) Larson of Lake Sarah; uncle-in-law Duane Verdeck of Hutchinson; and many other relatives and close friends.
He is preceded in death by his father James, grandparents, aunt Gerry Verdeck, and cousin Derek Fowser.
