2010
• Zach Campbell becomes the second TAHS wrestler to reach the 150-win mark. He would finish his career with more than 200 wins (225). Campbell wins 44 matches in 2010.
• Winston “Wimpy” Peterson has been named Conservationist of the Year by the Minnesota Waterfowl Association and Art Marben has been accepted into the District MD5M Hall of Fame.
• It was announced that free breakfast will be served to all public elementary students.
• Matt Schreier is launching the Lakeside Hideaway in Currie.
• Charlie Knott is inducted into the Bemidji State University Hall of Fame.
• Thelma and Louise’s Bar and Grill opens in the former 21st Century Bank building.
• Tony Peterson defeated incumbent mayor Steve Ferrazzano by a 298 to 293 margin.
• The Knakmuhs Agency of Walnut Grove, Tracy and Garvin marks its 50th anniversary as a three-generation family business.
• Legendary Tracy football coach Leo “Gabby” Sebastian dies at the age of 89.
2011
• Rick Anderson usurps longtime Lyon County Commissioner Phil Nelson.
• Audrey Koopman’s 28-year tenure as Tracy city administrator ends.
• Dan Zimansky ends an impressive 22-year run on the Tracy Public Schools Board of Education.
• A loss to Redwood Valley marked the end of an illustrious career for the high school’s winningest boys’ basketball coach, Bob Ladehoff.
• Skylar Carlson placed sixth out of 193 competitors at the American Forensics Association’s national individual tournament.
• The long-anticipated move of the Tracy Public Library begins, and construction begins on a new wrestling and weight lifting facility at Tracy Area High School.
• Roger A. Gorius was appointed as Tracy’s new city administrator.
• Jason Lichty took over as Tracy’s chief of police on Oct. 1, succeeding Bryan Hillger, who died later that year.
• The District 2904 Board of Education considers purchasing the Tracy Kid’s World property.
2012
• The former Tracy Public Library is now home to the future Prairie Home Medical and a charitable organization for distribution of used CPAP machines.
• DeRuyter’s Pallets of Ruthton has begun using the 35,000-square-foot main Central Livestock barn for its pallet business.
• Prairie Lakes Family Dentistry opens.
• Farmland continues to bring strong prices at area land auctions. An auction in March brought a top bid of $8,600 an acre for a 160-acre tract in Clifton Township.
• A newly remodeled main barn will greet visitors at Wheels Across the Prairie.
• City of Tracy leaders are considering legal action against the owner of a south Tracy mobile home park over a past-due water and sewer bill of more than $9,000.
• An explosion at the CHS facility in Tracy put two men in the hospital.
• Neighbors and friends are rallying around a Tracy mother and her three children, who remain hospitalized in St. Paul after a Saturday morning explosion destroyed their Elm St. home.
• The Tracy bakery had its last day of business.
• Shane Daniels has been named the City of Tracy’s new Public Works director.
