The District No. 2904 School Board has added another cooperative sport for this school year. The board on Monday approved a cooperative sponsorship between TMB and RTR for girls competitive dance for the 2020-2021 school year at their regular meeting.

“They have made a request to join us for dance starting this year,” Tracy Area High School Activities Director Bill Tauer said. “There would be three girls from RTR in the program. We share expenses like coaches and transportation. If we are short buses, RTR could drive, too, like Westbrook/Walnut Grove does for wrestling. The way things are going right now, it could happen. We’re always short bus drivers and they are too.”

The participating students from RTR would be responsible for getting to Tracy for practice and when they are leaving for competitions.

In addition to the approval of the co-op paring with RTR for dance, the board approved the winter coaches list and approved Sherman Yang as the seventh-grade volleyball coach for the remainder of the season.
