Miss Tracy candidates ready to ‘illuminate’

Ten Tracy Area High School seniors will vie for the title of Miss Tracy 2023 on Sunday, Sept. 4, in what will likely be in front of another big audience.

The Miss Tracy Scholarship Program, “Illuminate the Night,” will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the TAHS gymnasium.

“We have an impressive group of 10 amazing candidates,” said Mallory Fultz, one of the program’s directors. “From the directors’ perspective, it has been rewarding to watch these young ladies flourish in confidence and grace. Every girl has shown personal growth throughout the summer. The Sunday evening program during Box Car Days will illuminate the hard work of the candidates of the 2023 Miss Tracy program.

The new Miss Tracy will receive a $1,500 scholarship; the first runner-up will receive $900, and the second runner-up will earn a $700 scholarship.

This year’s program include five categories: Scholastic Achievement & Community Involvement, Creative Arts Presentation, Fitness Routine, Presence & Composure and Panel Evaluation. Each comes with a $300 scholarship. Other awards/scholarships presented are the Lori Bangasser Memorial, $300; Spirit Award, $300; $250 alumni scholarship to each recipient thanks to the Miss Tracy Alumni, and Miss Photogenic, who will receive an engraved frame.
