Hundreds of visitors are expected in downtown Tracy for the Prairie Women’s Expo Saturday.
Doors open at the recently-refurbished Veterans’ Memorial Center at 9 a.m. The first 200 attendees will receive free “goodie bags.”
“We’re really excited about this year’s expo,” reports Kim Roggatz, Tracy Chamber of Commerce manager. “We have another great show lined up.”
Sixty commercial vendors, plus six non-profit groups, have reserved space for the expo. A food court with several offerings will provide both breakfast and luncheon food items.
A spring fashion show—featuring apparel and accessories from Christopher & Banks, Maurice’s and Sole Mates—is planned for 1 p.m. About a dozen local models will show off the latest women’s fashions.
The Expo’s theme, “Come Play in Tracy,” will reflect the show’s board game-related décor.
There is no admission charge. Displays will remain up until 3 p.m.
The Tracy Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the expo. Women’s Expo committee members include: Casey Schmidt (chair), Krista Loftness, Becky Averill, Gayle Whiting, Becky Iverson, and Rhonda Fredricks.
