The Panther track and field season got off to a rousing start on Saturday, as the TMB boys’ team finished in second place overall at the Wolverine Indoor Meet in Mankato.
TMB’s 86 points were second only to LCWM-Nicollet’s 136. Individual results were littered with first-place finishes for the boys: Aidan Swenhaugen (24.02 in the 200 dash and 6.98 in the
55-meter dash and 6-0 in the high jump); Tyler Arnold (56.17 in the 400 dash); Cade Swenhaugen (8.64 in the 55 high hurdles); and the 4x200 relay team of Arnold, Hunter Ostgaard, and Cade and Aidan (1:30.40).
For the TMB girls, which finished fifth as a team, Lauren Knakmuhs was fourth in the 400 (69.76); Marin Knott was fourth in the 1,600 (6:25.19); and RaeLynn Schreier was fourth in the 55 hurdles (9.91).
The TMB girls’ 4x200 relay team of Schreier, Mallorie Hicks, Avery Anderson and Linaye Odom took second with a time of 2:08.26; and Schreier was third in the high jump at 4-06. The
4x400 relay team of Knott, Anderson, Hicks and Knakmuhs took third at 4:56.63.
