Cindy Wilson will present, “We Suffered Much: Charles Wood Irish and the Dakota Territory Survey of 1879-1881” at the Lyon County Museum, 301 West Lyon Street, Marshall on Tuesday, April 8, at 6:30 p.m. Free will donation and light refreshments will be served.
Using photography, historic documents and a drone video, this 35- 40-minute talk covers why Wilson undertook this book, provides background on Irish and his family, then shares some highlights from the book that took place in the early stages of the project. It ends with a particular research odyssey.
