The space will also include a kitchenette and a handicapaccessible restroom The cost of purchasing and redoing is $86,810, part of which will be paid for with a $45,000 grant from the Blandin Foundation.

Work on Valhalla Road is set to begin later this spring. The reconstruction of CSAH 13 will be done by Town & Country Excavating at a cost of $4,982,942.40, which is slightly over the original estimate.

Springfield Advance-Press Prairie Plains, a Springfieldbased wealth management firm, has been named to the Forbes SHOOK Best-in-State Wealth Management Team for 2025. Prairie Plains started in 1989 as an office of Investment Centers of America inside Farmers and Merchants State Bank.
