A vehicle carrying five youth ages 5-14 was involved in an accident in Lyons Township on March 28.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2007 Chrysler Town & County driven by Christie Wieme, 42, of Balaton, collided with a 2008 Ford Escape, driven by Shelby Korman, 19, of Lynd at 12:33 p.m. on North Hwy. 23 and 220th St.
Both vehicles were traveling north on Hwy. 23 when the vehicles collided.
There were no major injuries reported, but everyone involved was transported to Marshall Regional Medical Center. They were all wearing their seatbelts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Lynd Fire, North Ambulance and Balaton Ambulance all responded to the scene.
