A major step was taken Monday on the much-talked about hangar project at the Tracy Municipal Airport, as a bid for the project was accepted by the Tracy City Council.
Two bids were received and opened on April 2. Schedule 1 bids ranged from $732,263.00 to $890,838.07; and total bids including the Schedule 1, Schedule 2, and two add alternates ranged from $1,145,501.70 to $1,372,875.68. The engineer’s estimate for Schedule 1, Schedule 2, and two add alternates for the project was $1,052,010.00. Dale Johnson III LLC provided an apparent low total bid of $1,145,501.70, including both schedules and two add alternates.
Besides a new four-unit T-hangar, the comprehensive project also includes taxi lane and slab projects.
