April 18, 1985 — When you’re hot you’re hot. And Keith Engesser is hot. The Tracy bowler recently rolled perhaps the highest series ever at the Tracy Lanes. Bowling on the Whitey’s Body Shop team, Engesser logged a 710 series two weeks ago. Gary Schaar, bowling alley owner, says the series is the highest he can remember in the years he’s been in Tracy. Last week, Engesser nearly equaled his record-breaking performance with a 696 series in league play. Engesser has been bowling superbly for the past two months. His league series scores for the past eight weeks are: 613, 645, 616, 689, 639, 693, 710, 696. During that period he also bowled in a city tournament and racked up 685 and 601 series.

Two other sixth graders who have rolled up impressive records this season include Eric Jacobson 314, and Mike Kamrud (30-6). Brian Mickelson is their coach.

April 20, 2005 — The Panther baseball team improved its season record to 2-1 (1-0 in the 212 Conference) with a 9-3 win over A/C/GC last Thursday. Matt Bauer and Derek Daniels led the 9 hit Panther offense with 2 hits each. Also getting hits were Donald Strand, Sean Castle, Derek Radke, Erik Frisvold and Lucas Walling.
