Arlene Knoblauch, 83

Arlene Evelyn Knoblauch of Tracy passed away at Prairie View Senior Living where she lost her four year battle with lung cancer on January 12, 2017 at the age of 83.  A private family burial will be held.  Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.  Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Arlene Evelyn (Roggeman) Knoblauch was born on March 11, 1933 in Dovray, Minnesota to Michael and Dorothy (Picht) Roggeman.  She attended high school in Tracy.  On April 3, 1950 Arlene married Paul Knoblauch.  They lived around Tracy and Benson and in 1954 moved back to Amiret where they lived until they retired to Tracy in the late 1980’s.  The couple farmed and milked cows together for 15 years, then switched to raising cow-calf herds.  Arlene also drove school bus for Tracy Public Schools for 15 years.  She entertained at nursing homes and many other gatherings with her accordion.  Arlene loved music and singing and had many jam sessions with relatives.  At the age of 13 Arlene played over radio station KMHL on Saturday mornings and played in a country show band when she was 14 and 15.  She also demonstrated Lowrey organs.  Arlene loved to winter in Arizona and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren.  She moved to Prairie View Senior Living in June where she has resided since.
Arlene is survived by her two children: Loren (Tacy) Knoblauch of Amiret and Penny (Don) Peterson of Lake Sarah; grandchildren: Emily and Travis Leibrich, Monica and Brad Rilling, and Bryce and Brittany Peterson; eight great grandchildren: Payton, Caden, and Maddox Metzger, Briley and Cooper Rilling, Lane, Soren, and Tait Peterson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, brothers Marvin “Bud” and Darold, and grandson Harlan Knoblauch.
