Area fire departments practiced fire drills Monday evening at property owned by Sis and Joe Beierman. State-certified instructors practiced safety drills in teams with Tracy, Balaton, Walnut Grove and Garvin fire departments. The house was then burned as it was inhabitable. Tracy Fire Chief Dale Johnson III said he, “would like to thank Joe and Sis for use of their house for live fire training – the best way for firefighters to train.” This week is Fire Prevention Week.
