Norbert Donald Haecherl, 82, passed away on December 13, 2017. He was born in Minnesota on September 11, 1935 to the late William and Thresia Haecherl.
Norbert worked many years in construction as a carpenter, after completing time as a Navy Seabee serving in Antarctica. He loved his children, grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.
Norbert is survived by his wife, Marlys Haecherl; children, Joel (Lana), Zane (Stephanie) and Millie; step-children, Teresa and Maria; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Arelene, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Haecherl and step-daughter Amy.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday December 20, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul. Internment will be held at a later date in Tracy, Minnesota.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition.
