St. Mary’s School counts blessings

Zoe Koenig, Lawton Verlinde and Jeret Ankrum were the servers at the St. Mary’s Sunday Mass, that officially opened Catholic Schools Week.

It’s especially busy at St. Mary’s School, with a host of special Catholic Schools Week activities planned through Saturday.

A 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Mary’s kicked off the week Sunday, following a book fair open house and an Echoes basketball game against Balaton. A Knights of Columbus free throw contest followed.

Monday was “PJ/Crazy Hair Day.” On Tuesday, students were encouraged to dress up like a television or movie character, and an egg hunt was planned.

And on Wednesday, children were invited to dress up like their favorite animal. Parents joined students for lunch.
