Delayed Expo set for Saturday

By Per Peterson

The large cutout letters taped to the windows of the Veterans’ Memorial Center spell out the word “spring,” and there’s a 100% chance the 12th Annual Women’s Expo won’t be snowed out again.

The popular event, originally scheduled for April 14, will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday and run until 3 p.m.

The expo will coincide with the Spring Vendor Show at The Caboose, which runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Organizers of both events are looking forward to a big day in Tracy — a day that visitors have two places to go to enjoy all that vendors have to offer. Between the two events, some 120 vendors will be in town.

The food court at the expo includes sponsors Bonnie & Clyde’s and Food Pride, as well as the Tracy Area Girls (TAG) softball club, which will be serving walking tacos as a fundraiser.

This year’s fashion show, which begins at 1 p.m., features LuLaRoe, Pendants by Pam and Small Town Girls, and items can be purchased on-site.

Wine and mimosas will be sold from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. by the Tracy Municipal Liquor Store. Fresh, hot kettle corn will be cooked and served outside the main doors of the VMC and 200 goodie bags will be given away.
