Veterans to be honored Monday morning at TAHS

The Tracy Area High School’s annual Veterans’ Day program will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday in the gymnasium.

The program, sponsored by the Tracy American Legion Post 173, will begin with opening remarks from Commander Harley Wahl. The Tracy American Legion will present the Colors, and the TAHS choir will lead the Nation Anthem. The invocation will be given by Pastor Nick Scutari, and the welcome will be by Tracy Mayor Pam Cooreman.

Heidi Fier, Lyon County Veterans’ Services Officer, will give a presentation, followed by the choir’s rendition of “Battle Hymn of The Republic.”

Girls’ State presentations will be given by Katie Medford and Brooklyn Ludeman and TAHS Supt. Chad Anderson will honor past servicemen Dave Hicks, David Ziemke and Jim Keul. The TAHS band will perform “The Pride of America” before closing remarks.

The Veterans’ Day dinner will take place at noon at the Legion Post. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to pass.
