Abel David Dolney, 6, of Canistota, SD, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 surrounded by his parents, family and friends at the Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. A Celebration of Abel’s life will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Canistota Public School in Canistota, SD. Abel David Dolney was born on June 6, 2012 to Adam and Brianna (Schroeder) Dolney in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Abel was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He underwent countless hospital visits and multiple surgeries which he fought through with bravery until the end. He was loved and cherished by all that knew him, or came into contact with him. He inspired all that crossed his path with his amazing smile and outstanding attitude.
On Friday, February 1, 2019, Abel passed away at the Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, MN surrounded by his parents, family and friends at the age of 6.
He is survived by his parents Adam and Brianna Dolney of Canistota, SD; grandparents Andrew S. Dolney, Pam Dolney and Denny and Dawn Schroeder; great grandparents Philomena Dolney, David and Sherry Spencer, Esther Voges and Sharon Schroeder; aunts Anne Kline and Melissa Sichmeller; uncles Brandon Schroeder, Aaron Dolney, Andrew E. Dolney and Matt Sichmeller; and many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Frank Voges, Ralph Schroeder, Andrew L Dolney and Donald and Glendoris Bury.
