Billy Joseph Kyner, age 76 of Marshall, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at Franklin Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Franklin. Billy Joseph Kyner was born December 11, 1942 in Bakersfield, CA. Billy moved to Kansas City, MO in the early 1960’s with his first wife. Together they had two children Sherry Cook-Finely and John Kyner. They later parted ways. In 1993 he met Frankie Waggoner-Gregg. They got married on May 13th, 1994 and together had one daughter, Helena. Billy also welcomed her two sons Denton and Clinton Gregg. Later in life, Billy retired from Certainteed Fiberglass and moved to rural Arkansas. In 2014, Billy and Frankie moved to southwest Minnesota to be closer to their grandchildren. Billy was a free spirit with a kind heart and had a larger than life sense of humor. He loved music by Pink Floyd, gardening, tinkering with computers, antiquing and art. Billy especially enjoyed true crime and family history books.
Billy is survived by his wife Frankie Kyner; children: Sherry, John, Helena and Denton; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers: Ron and Terry Kyner; and sister Martha Whisman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Odean Kyner; and son Clinton.
