The Milroy Public School board approved a strategic planning project proposal by Big River Group, LLC at their February board meeting. The strategic planning project will consist of an email survey prior to a community planning session, an employee planning session and a final board planning session. The hope of the strategic planning session is to complete an outcome diagnosis (past success and history), refine/develop a new vision, identify organizational priorities, develop benchmarks for new priorities and identify roles and responsibilities for the next steps.
The board will be working with Dr. Bruce Miles of the Big River Group, LLC. He is a national-level facilitator, presenter and trainer in the areas of strategic planning, school improvement, organization conflict and difficult employees. He has been a consultant for the past 36 years.
