City council candidates will debate Sunday

The candidates for Tracy city council will debate at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, from council chambers.

Candidates will each respond to a number of questions that were put together prior to the debate. The order of responses will be determined by draw. Each candidate will have the opportunity to make a closing statement of up to two minutes. Tom Morin will moderate both events.

The debate will be aired on local public access channels (Charter 180), and (VAST 17 and 300 for those with the HD Box). It will be streaming on YouTube by searching “Tracy Minnesota.”

Because of social distancing guidelines, the number of spectators allowed at the debate will be limited, and anyone wishing to attend must register by noon Friday — this will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis.

You can register by calling the Above The Fold/Tracy Area Headlight Herald office at 629-4300 or by emailing your name, address and phone number to tara@headlightherald.com

Those who attend will be required to wear a facemask, and respect and adhere to social distancing mandates.
