Allie Mae died as a result of a heart attack on December 4th with two of her 8 children at her side but surrounded spiritually by her entire family in love. Arrangements are being made by Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.

Allie Mae was born on July 10, 1929 to Orville and Alice (Silver) Jette in Tracy, MN.  She attended Tracy Elementary School and High School and graduated in June of 1947. She worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone as a phone operator for 2 years before marrying David Lang on June 9, 1949 in Tracy at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. They were married 49 years before his death on September 26, 1997.

She lived in Bird Island while Dave was teaching music before moving to Kimball where she lived from 1952-2004. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and the St. Anne’s Mission Group. She was also a member of the Kimball American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of a bowling league at Aqua Lanes in Kimball for several years. During her years of marriage, Allie Mae was a wife, mother and secretary for her husband’s Life Insurance Business that they ran out of their home starting in 1957 until his death in September, 1997. In 2004 she moved to St. Cloud to be closer to her family. She moved into a Patio Home that she loved to call her “Doll House” until September of 2016. She then spent the remainder of her years at Cherrywood Assisted Living North, in St. Cloud. She was a member of St. Michael’s Parish.

After her move to St. Cloud, she continued weekly trips to Kimball for her Prayer Group meetings with lifelong friends. She enjoyed going to the movies and meeting her “girlfriends” for lunches, coffee or a good glass of wine.  Allie Mae’s goal in life was to be a good wife, mother and grandmother. It was her true passion, and our greatest gift from her.  She was adored by many, but especially her husband, 8 children, 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. There was never a time when she would decline an invite to take care of her family. She was a compassionate, giving and nurturing woman.  Although Alzheimer’s took away her short term memory, she was still a delight to sit and visit with. She remained kind, gentle, witty and sweet in nature up until the day she died. She had many names…Allie Mae, Mom, Mommy Mae, Gramma Mae and Nana Mae and her new friends in St. Cloud just simply called her Allie. She will be deeply missed by her family and all that had the privilege of knowing her. We won’t say good-bye…We will  “see you later” J

She is survived by her 8 children: Dianne (Jim) Nash, Oak Park Heights; David (Jean) Sartell; Debra (Jeff) Seifert, St. Cloud; Mark (Lynell), Champlin; Kevin (Kathy) Waukesha, WI; Kathy (Vernon) Sakry, St. Cloud; John (Linda Wiatrowski), St. Cloud; Patrick (Debbie), St. Cloud; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; brother John Jette and wife Rita, Austin, MN;  sister-in-law Jenny Jette, Bloomington; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Beryl Jette and his wife Mary Ellen, sister Mary Weedman and her husband LuVern and brother Orville (Bud) Jette.

We want to thank the staff at Cherrywood for their great love and care of our mom while she was there and the Doctor’s and nurses at the St. Cloud Hospital during her brief stay at the time of her death.
