Delores Fredericks

The funeral service for Delores Fredericks, 82, of Tracy, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Tracy. Visitation will be from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Bethel Community Cemetery in Garvin.

Delores June (Filter) Fredericks was born on June 30, 1939, in Florence, MN, to Ewald and Agnes (Suhr) Filter. As a child, Delores moved with her family to Tracy. On October 9, 1953, Delores was united in marriage to Lyle Fredericks, Sr., in Brookings, SD. The couple made their home and raised their six children in Tracy. Delores worked as a nurse’s aide at the nursing home in Tracy for a time, forming strong relationships with the residents there. She also enjoyed working at the Coast to Coast hardware store, helping people find the supplies they needed for their projects. Delores also took pride in taking care of home projects on her own. She enjoyed cooking for her family, and her family was especially fond of her homemade bread and potato salad. She was an impressive gardener, keeping both flowers and produce, which she canned and used for her family. Delores loved dancing and music, especially country and western, and she could play numerous instruments all by ear. In her free time, Delores enjoyed playing the slot machines, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and playing cards and board games with family. She was a kind person who saw the good in everyone, and she especially enjoyed spending time with family.

Delores died on Monday, April 25, 2022, at the Sanford Tracy Medical Center. She is survived by her children Rhonda Fredericks of Tracy, Lyle Jr. (Shirley) Fredericks of Mankato, Theresa (Darwin) Bartlow of Balaton, William Fredericks of Allen, TX, June (Mike) Mumm of Tracy, and Dean (Becky) Fredericks of Mankato; grandchildren Mardi (Jason) Braun, Lyle III (Paula) Fredericks, Nicholas Fredericks, Ashley Fredericks, Denny (Kelly) Bartlow, Sarah (Bill) Willhite, Matthew Fredericks, Mason Fredericks, Mandy (Andy) Hoffman, Josh (Dasha) Mumm, Ian Fredericks, Derek Fredericks; great-grandchildren Tasha (Cody Coult) Charlton, Kalob (Kaylee) Hays, Alexia Lemke, Zander Fredericks, Wyatt Fredericks, Jackson, Brezlan, and Olive Bartlow, Tori and Travis Willhite, Cheyenne and Lane Hoffman, Aidan, Aleigha, and Easton Mumm; great-great-grandchildren Carson Warden, Dakota Coult, Barrett and Ryker Hays. She is also survived by siblings Alice Trebsch of Walnut Grove and Charles Filter of Tracy, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lyle, and siblings Irene Peterson, Alma Hoffman, Hazel Chasteen, Otto Filter, Pauline Radke, Martha Radke, Lawrence Filter, Marceline Filter, and Loisann Filter.
