With a goal of beautifying the community and encoring economic development in an outside-the-box way, a small group of Tracy residents recently took part in a Learning Lab designed to stir up that will enhance the city through various art genres.

The City of Tracy was one of three Minnesota cities (New London and Milan) selected for a six-month Civic Arts Learning Lab. The program was led by Ash Hanson of the Department of Public Transportation — who works with art projects all over the country — with support from the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council.

Members of the group are: Tracy Community Development Director Jeff Carpenter, Nancy Dobson, Tracy City Administrator Erik Hansen, Khou Lor, Rosemary Martin and Tracy librarian Val Quist.
