Brad Alan Beals, 90

Just 12 days after his 90th birthday, Brad passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with family by his side. He will be missed and lovingly remembered by Phyllis, his wife of 67 years, son Thad (Terri), Timothy (Nancy) and Thomas (Cindy), three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.

Brad was born and grew up in Newton, Iowa. He graduated from the University of Iowa, earning a degree in Art and Design, and spent his early career in the Midwest. In the early 1970s, he, with the help of others, developed his idea for a Mobile Home, and with investors, brought the Homera factory to Tracy, where it was located in the Industrial Park on the east side of the city.

He and his family later relocated to Lake Oswego and established Beal’s Construction, a successful residential remodeling business known for combining unique design and function. The remodeling company continues successfully today under the ownership of his son Tim and his business partner as owners.

Brad liked a full and active life. He was a great friend, trusted professional and involved community member. He was devoted to his family and happiest when they were all together.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 18th, from 2-5 p.m. at the Lake Oswego Heritage House. Donations to place a city park bench in Brad’s honor can be sent to: Park Bench, in care of: Phyllis Beals, 541 9th St. Lake Oswego, OR 97034.
