This year’s ExCEL Award nominees from Tracy Area High School are Hailey Gernentz and Ashton Squires.
The ExCEL Award — Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership — is a recognition program designed for Minnesota high school juniors who are active in school activities, who are leaders in their schools and who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service. This award is sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League’s corporate partner, Wells Fargo.
Students are chosen by a selection committee from their respective school, must write an essay on their participation in school and the community and receive a letter of recommendation from a teacher.
