The Dennis and Marilyn Christesnen family has been giving scholarship money to Tracy Area High School seniors since 2014. And recently, they expanded their philanthropy in a major way — one that will benefit the entire city of Tracy and surrounding areas.
The humble Garvin couple has donated $10,000 to the Tracy Area Community Center through the “Gifts of Grain” program, which opens the door for donors to build a charitable legacy while contributing to the community. Through the program, farmers can minimize their tax liability while giving back at the same time.
With the Christensen’s generous donation, the Tracy Area Community Center fund has eclipsed the $400,000 mark.
