Neither Jeff Carpenter nor Sonja Gasca could’ve hoped for a better testimony from a Tracy Area High School sophomore at last Wednesday’s Careers 2 Come Home To Career and Job Fair.

“One of the kids said as they were walking out, ‘I didn’t even know some of these jobs existed,” said Kamrud, guidance counselor at the high school. “This is such a good thing for all the students to come to.”

Carpenter, Tracy’s Community Development Director, said this year’s group of young visitors from the high school did a good job interacting with the 30-some vendors that packed one side of the VMC gym.
