The level of optimism is high as the City of Tracy is looking to land a game-changing grant designed to support commercial and low- to moderate-income homeowners in town.

Bouyed by strong survey results and past successful grant applications, the City is aggressively pursuing a $1.467 million Small Cities Grant. The City has already passed the first round of the grant process. The City’s final application is due by May 1. Rehabilitation projects could begin as early as 2024.

On Monday, the council heard an informational presentation from Jeff Gladis, housing director for United Community Action Partnership, which has long been a partner with the City on a variety of different projects.
