Council discusses prospects of future opportunities for municipal building’s second floor

Before the Tracy City Council approved an agreement to continue to lease out second-floor space to Tracy Masonic Lodge members last week, council member Seth Schmidt posed a question, asking if the City could sometime in the future possibly bring in more revenue from the space than the $750 a year it currently collects.

“I’m just thinking maybe at some point we could advertise for the space, see if there’s anyone that might be interested,” Schmidt said. “I’m not opposed to the lease at all, I just wanted to bring it up as far as a discussion item.”
