Having not met formally with the council for about six months, members of Tracy’s Community Center Workforce Group on Monday requested a meeting with the Tracy City Council.
A number of members of the group which is charged with fundraising for a new community center attended Monday’s city council meeting as a means to touch base with council members as they continue to close in on the $850,000 fundraising goal for a new center.
CCWG member Jeanine Vandendriessche informed the council that they have raised more than $700,000 (counting pledges) to date, and with budget talks around the corner thought it would be a good idea to sit down to discuss the next potential steps as a means to keep momentum going.
