Tracy finds itself in familiar territory: On the hunt for a new administrator

Moving forward in a post-Erik Hansen era, Tracy City Council member Tom Dobson expressed his faith in the City’s current leadership team to keep Tracy pushing forward in the right direction.

Hansen last week submitted his resignation to the council, which is now once again charged with finding the City’s next city administrator.

The council plans to meet sometime this week to discuss its next move to find Hansen’s successor.

“It’s still new; we’re going to figure out if we’re going to do an intern and handle things ourselves until we hire somebody,” Tracy Mayor Pam Cooreman said. “We’re kind of getting to be professional interviewers. It would be really nice to find somebody who wants to settle down in a small town and stay here for a while.”
