The Balaton City Council on Tuesday entered into effective negotiations with Ken Holm regarding the pending Care Center sale (formerly Colonial Manor).
The council was originally presented with four proposals during a recent public hearing and ultimately went with Holm’s plan of transforming the building into public housing.
The first project would be repair or replacement of the roof. The building footprint will remain the same with Holm and his sons working to transform the building into upper-end, larger apartments with two baths and a new HVAC/air conditioning separate for each unit. The units will be single-level without stairs.
