A space for veterans and their stories

There’s nothing Jon Wendorff hates more than having to tell people something is in storage. And it pains him even more when those items helped shape stories of veterans and past wars.

Currently, the Wheels Across the Prairie Heritage Center has a number of veteran-related items stored on the second level of one of the main buildings on the museum’s campus. Soon, however, they will have a new home, and that home began taking shape last week.

The B&T Quality Construction crew last Thursday worked under the blazing sun putting the roof on the 24’ x 40’ veterans memorial building, which is located on the southeast side of the museum’s grounds.
