Tracy Community Development Director Jeff Carpenter has thrown his hat into the ring to become the City of Tyler’s next city administrator.
Carpenter, a former Tracy man who lives in Lake Benton, was hired as the EDA Director in Tracy in October 2017 and began his duties in that role on Nov. 1, 2017, succeeding Tara Onken.
In the more than 20 years prior to that, he worked for The Schwan Food Co. as a zone manager and sales manager. He worked for Schwan’s for a total of 31 years — 24 in a management role.
