The Cooperstown Dreams Park, near the Baseball Hall of Hame in Cooperstown, NY, started its summer 12U tournament tradition in 1996. Now, two Tracy youth are a part of that almost three-decades long history.

The park, often called America’s Baseball Summer Camp, hosts 96 youth baseball teams from all across the U.S. each week for 16 weeks of the summer. Teams stay together onsite at the 22-field complex and play a minimum of six games: five to seed them and then a single-elimination tournament.

The Southwest Minnesota Blaze team, comprised of 12 boys from around the area, got the opportunity to play in “America’s #1 Tournament” from July 27- Aug. 2. Nolan Carlson and Jackson Kruse from Tracy joined youth from Marshall, Pipestone, and Spencer, Iowa, for the weeklong experience.
