This school year will offer the best of two worlds for Mary (Sundquist) Leach.

Leach, a long-term substitute at Tracy Area High School the second half of the last school year, is the new FACS (Family and Consumer Science Education) teacher, but she will also be able to utilize her agricultural background by teaching two ag classes.

“I was really excited about (the job) when they posted it,” said Leach. “I knew I would be crazy not to apply for it — A, it’s in a school I’m already in, and B, it’s half of what my degree is in. And FACS is something I’m really comfortable in and really enjoy.”
